First of all, I have not decided what I am going to do yet and I will keep thinking.
As suggested that I could re-write something from my own Chinese heritage.
But, I do not know chinese literature deep enough to find a good base. And
translation is another obstacle coz I find it is hard to translate the beauty, strength, and heritage of Chinese literature into equivalently sophsticated English Language.
So, at the time of now, I may just re-write the 'WSS'.

WOW ... you sound like you love your Chinese tales or stories (however you may like to put it), just the way it is. True, that the Chinese heritage has its own beauty and sometimes you like it the way it is - too precious in a way to be tampered with. I somehow understand how you feel - but then again, i would like to see how a person from todays century could change a story from the past few centuries.
anyways, good luck with your re-write.
