Good Morning all!
I was reading my post from last week and I realised in my intro I was going to introduce what I was going to re-write, but I forgot to mention it after my reflection on the W.S.S Film.
Anyways,
I was going to re-write a Tongan short story written in Tonga (sorry, I can't remember the date) by a Tongan author (I can't remember the author either). To me it sounds interesting to how the names of the Royal Family came about and how the first lady came into the Royal Family. I do not want to ruin the story by raving on about it here on the blog, all I can say is that there are some weird names that will probably make you giggle a little to yourself when I translate it into English. Funny as it may sound, but we still use these names up until today... especially in the Royal Family.
What do you think? Any changes I should make or any ideas you think that I may want to add into the re-write? SHARING IS CARING ! (hehehe...)

Sounds like something you could have a lot of fun with. I really look forward to reading this, I think it's an awesome idea. Good luck! My one question is, how much history will you change in your rewrite? Will this make a completely new story, or just put a twist on the original?
Yes, good question. How much of the history will I re-write? Not much to what I have in mind at the moment. I was going to re-write from a character's point of view this time. As the original story has an outsiders point of view.
I don't want to change the history that much and no the plot will stay the same... It is the names of the characters in the re-write that I will be focusing on.
Did I make any sense?

definitely. Sounds like you have it thought out pretty well. I didn't realize that the story was from an outsider's view, so changing the POV is a great idea. I look forward to reading it!
Hey Annie,
Your lucky you know what u want to do, I'm still lost about my re-write :(. Anyways great idea on your re-write. My Question is what do the names means in English? ;)
Yeah Drew, I kinda do have it sussed out, now I need to get these thoughts onto paper and which I must start on ASAP. =] x
Good question Akash, I can say that in the original, one of the names in tongan is 'Ulukilupetea' which literally means 'Head of a Gray dove' - this name will also feature in my story, because it is a rare name and there will be other names in which I will be creating on my own.
