My rewrite is about the film Black Book, whose background is the Second World War. This film tells a story that in the darkest days of World War two, Jewish fugitives attempted to escape occupied Holland – only to face a Nazi ambush. Rachel Steniin alone survived the attack and joined the Dutch Resistance to avenge her family. She soon confronted the ultimate test: she must infiltrate German headquarters by tempting Captain Ludwig Muntze(L.M.), who uncovered her duplicity in the heat of passion …… , but keeps her secret. She found that L.M. is different from other Nazi members, he negotiates with the Dutch Resistance secretly to save them. And he wasn’t as cruel or heartless as other Nazi Germans. Finally she fell in love with him. But when the Nazi was defeated , and Holland was liberated, L.M. was sentenced to death by the Nazi for his guilty of treason(his negotiation with Dutch Resistance).

My rewrite story, whose main character is the Ludwig Muntze(L.M.), can be viewed as a prequel to the original story. It tells the most half of L.M.’ s life, which include his experience in Poland during the Second World War, which influenced the rest of his life when he later arrived in Holland.
