Re:some thinkings about the re-write

Just want to share some ideas about our re-write task. I think one thing we have to be aware of is that we need to put the element of postcolonial theory throughout our work. Because I haven't start to read the W.S.S, so at present just have an idea to re-write Jane eyre. Maybe I can put the main character in a different setting, such as in 1920's Shanghai, or Hongkong, or Jane could be changed to a Chinese girl who met Rochester in British-ruled distict in 1920's China. No more idea now, but I think I need to know more background knowledge about 1920's China first.
